2. Using the handouts on theory and the Geri Halliwell essay, write your own response to a music video of your choice. Use the headings from the Vivienne Clark essay:
Camera work, editing, star image, voyeurism, intertextuality, narrative and performance.
This is to be uploaded to your blog, along with your chosen video. A paper copy should also be submitted on Monday 7th July to be marked and to be included in the research section of your critical evaluation. ( once this has been marked and returned, you need to do at least two more from different genres).
3. Start preparing your 'pitch'. This is to be delivered on Monday 14th July. It must include:
1. Mood board
2. Identification of which lyrics you are planning on illustrating ( if any).
3. An animatic of your storyboard, this is where you film your storyboard to the music to see how the pace and editing will fit.
4. Production profile: your 'talent', who you are going to use, images of the location, list of any special equipment, props etc.
5. Audience profile- who is your video aimed at? What other music do they like? WHere would you expect to see your video screened?
The presentation needs to be put into slideshare then imported into your blog.
Look at previous years blogs to see how they have done this.
